New McCabes Pharmacy App
When does the new McCabes Pharmacy app launch?
Our new and improved McCabes Pharmacy app launches on 7th September 2026.
What happens to the current McCabes Pharmacy app?
We're excited to launch our new and improved McCabes Pharmacy app on 7th September 2026.
Please note, if you currently use the current McCabes Pharmacy app, it will no longer be supported and will be unavailable from 30th September 2026.
You will need to download the new McCabes Pharmacy app and register a new account. Once registered, you'll have access to exciting new features, including prescription tracking, our new loyalty programme McCabes PLUS, appointment booking, digital receipts and more.
Do I need to download a new app?
Yes. If you currently use the McCabes Pharmacy app, you will need to download the new McCabes Pharmacy app from 7th September 2026 and register a new account.
Do I need to create a new account?
Yes. You will need to register a new account when you download the new McCabes Pharmacy app.
Once registered, you'll have access to features including McCabes PLUS, prescription tracking, appointment booking, digital receipts and more.
Can I download the new app before 7th September?
No. The new McCabes Pharmacy app will be available from 7th September 2026.
Do I need to delete the current McCabes Pharmacy app?
You will need to download the new McCabes Pharmacy app and register a new account to access the new app and its features.
The current McCabes Pharmacy app will no longer be supported and will be unavailable from 30th September 2026.
I can't find the new app in the App Store.
The new McCabes Pharmacy app will be available from 7th September 2026. If you're searching before this date, it won't appear.
About McCabes PLUS
What is McCabes PLUS?
McCabes PLUS is our loyalty programme within the McCabes Pharmacy app. It gives customers access to PLUS Offers, PLUS Coupons, points, Marketplace rewards, digital receipts and My Health services.
When does McCabes PLUS launch?
McCabes PLUS launches nationwide on 7th September 2026.
Is McCabes PLUS free to join?
Yes. McCabes PLUS is completely free to join.
How old do I need to be to join McCabes PLUS?
You must be aged 18 or over to join McCabes PLUS.
How do I join McCabes PLUS?
Download the new McCabes Pharmacy app from 7th September 2026 and register a new account. Once registered, you'll be able to access McCabes PLUS through the app.
Your Account
What information do I need to register?
You will need an email address and password, mobile number, first and last name and date of birth. Your mobile number will be verified using a code sent by SMS.
Why do I need to verify my mobile number?
Your mobile number is used as part of your account registration and will be validated using a code sent by SMS.
I haven't received my verification code. What should I do?
Check that your country code and mobile number are correct and that your phone has an internet or mobile connection. You can then select Resend to request another code.
I've forgotten my password. What should I do?
Select Forgot password? from the login screen and follow the instructions to reset your password.
You can also choose to log in using a one-time code sent by email or SMS, depending on the login option selected.
My email address or mobile number is already registered. What should I do?
If your details are already registered to your new McCabes Pharmacy account, select Log in rather than registering another account.
Your McCabes PLUS Loyalty Card
Where can I find my McCabes PLUS Loyalty Card?
Once you have registered and are logged in, your Loyalty Card QR code is available from the Home screen and within the McCabes PLUS section of the app.
What do I use my Loyalty Card QR code for?
Present your Loyalty Card QR code before you pay in store. This allows eligible PLUS Offers and activated PLUS Coupons to be applied, PLUS points to be awarded and your purchase to be linked to your McCabes PLUS account.
When should I scan my Loyalty Card?
Your Loyalty Card QR code must be scanned before payment for eligible PLUS Offers, PLUS Coupons and points to be applied.
PLUS Offers
What are PLUS Offers?
PLUS Offers are special offers and loyalty prices available to eligible McCabes PLUS members.
Where can I find PLUS Offers?
PLUS Offers can be found from the Home screen or within the McCabes PLUS section of the app.
Do I need to activate a PLUS Offer?
No. PLUS Offers do not need to be activated.
Eligible PLUS Offers apply automatically in store when your Loyalty Card QR code is scanned before payment.
Are PLUS Offers the same as PLUS Coupons?
No. PLUS Offers apply automatically when you're eligible, while PLUS Coupons must be activated in the app before you pay.
PLUS Coupons
What are PLUS Coupons?
PLUS Coupons are coupons available through the McCabes Pharmacy app.
How do I use a PLUS Coupon?
Open the coupon in the app and tap Activate before you pay. Then present your Loyalty Card QR code at the till.
Do PLUS Coupons expire?
Yes. PLUS Coupons have expiry dates, so always check the terms shown on your coupon before shopping.
Can I use a PLUS Coupon more than once?
PLUS Coupons are single use unless otherwise stated in the individual coupon terms.
Why has my PLUS Coupon disappeared?
A coupon may no longer appear after it has been redeemed or once it has expired.
Can I activate a PLUS Coupon after I've paid?
No. Your PLUS Coupon must be activated and your Loyalty Card QR code scanned before the transaction is completed.
Can I use PLUS Coupons online or with Click & Collect?
No. PLUS Coupons and vouchers are not currently available online or with Click & Collect.
PLUS Points
How do I earn PLUS points?
You earn 1 PLUS point for every €1 spent on eligible in-store purchases.
Make sure your Loyalty Card QR code is scanned before payment to collect your points.
Do all purchases earn PLUS points?
No. Some purchases are excluded, including prescriptions, services, baby food and selected OTC products.
Where can I see my PLUS points?
Open McCabes PLUS in the app and select the points icon at the top right to view your points balance, history and available rewards.
My points aren't showing. What should I do?
Points can take several minutes to appear after an eligible purchase.
If your points are still missing, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.
Can I earn PLUS points online?
Not yet. PLUS points cannot currently be earned on online purchases, but this functionality is coming soon.
Can I earn PLUS points with Click & Collect?
Not yet. PLUS points cannot currently be earned on Click & Collect purchases, but this functionality is coming soon.
Can I redeem PLUS points online?
No. PLUS points cannot currently be redeemed online or through Click & Collect.
Do PLUS points expire?
Yes. PLUS points expire after one year.
Marketplace Rewards
What is Marketplace?
Marketplace lets you exchange your PLUS points in the McCabes Pharmacy app for eligible products or rewards.
How do I exchange my points for a Marketplace reward?
Open the McCabes PLUS section of the app, explore the available rewards and select the reward you would like to exchange your points for.
How do I use a Marketplace reward?
Once you exchange your points, a reward coupon will be generated in the app for in-store use.
Activate the reward before you pay and present your Loyalty Card QR code at the till.
Are Marketplace rewards subject to availability?
Yes. Product rewards are subject to stock availability in your chosen McCabes Pharmacy store.
Can I redeem Marketplace rewards online?
No. Marketplace rewards are redeemed in store only and are not currently available online or through Click & Collect.
Shopping Online & Click & Collect
Can I use McCabes PLUS online?
Yes. Eligible McCabes PLUS loyalty pricing is available online when you are signed in to your McCabes Pharmacy account.
Is PLUS pricing available online?
Yes. Eligible PLUS loyalty pricing is available online on participating products.
Can I use McCabes PLUS with Click & Collect?
Yes. Eligible PLUS loyalty pricing is available on participating products when ordering online for Click & Collect.
Can I earn PLUS points online or with Click & Collect?
Not yet. PLUS points cannot currently be earned on online or Click & Collect purchases, but this functionality is coming soon.

My Health
What is My Health?
My Health is available within the new McCabes Pharmacy app and brings together a range of pharmacy services in one place.
What can I do in My Health?
You can receive prescription journey notifications, use DigiScript for prescription requests and browse or book pharmacy services where available.
How do I connect My Health?
Open My Health in the McCabes Pharmacy app and select Connect now. You will need to provide consent to connect your pharmacy information.
Why aren't my prescriptions showing in My Health?
Make sure you have selected Connect now in My Health and provided the required consent.
The mobile number on your McCabes Pharmacy app account must also match the mobile number held on your pharmacy record.
Why does my mobile number need to match my pharmacy record?
Matching your mobile number allows us to identify the correct customer profile and provide prescription notifications securely.
Can I see my full prescription details in My Health?
My Health displays summary information such as your prescription status and pharmacy. For complete prescription details, please speak to your pharmacy team.
Can I access My Health online?
No. My Health is available through the McCabes Pharmacy app.
DigiScript
Is DigiScript changing?
No. DigiScript and prescription services will continue as normal.
Can I still use DigiScript online?
Yes. DigiScript will continue to be available online.
I use DigiScript through the current McCabes Pharmacy app. What do I need to do?
If you currently access DigiScript through the current McCabes Pharmacy app, you will need to download the new McCabes Pharmacy app from 7th September 2026 and register a new account.
Please note, if you currently use the current McCabes Pharmacy app, it will no longer be supported and will be unavailable from 30th September 2026.
DigiScript and prescription services will continue as normal, and DigiScript will also remain available online.
Using McCabes PLUS In Store
What should I do before I pay?
Open the McCabes Pharmacy app, activate any PLUS Coupons or Marketplace rewards you want to use and present your Loyalty Card QR code before payment.
What happens when my Loyalty Card QR code is scanned?
Where eligible, scanning your Loyalty Card can apply PLUS Offers and activated PLUS Coupons, award PLUS points, create a digital receipt and link the purchase to your account.
Can store colleagues help me with the app?
Yes. A member of our team can help you with common questions about accessing and using the McCabes Pharmacy app.
App Help & Support
The app won't open or is showing an error. What should I do?
First, check that your phone is connected to the internet. Close and reopen the app and make sure you have the latest version of the McCabes Pharmacy app installed.
My Loyalty Card QR code isn't showing. What should I do?
Make sure you have completed registration and are logged in to your account.
Your Loyalty Card QR code is available from the Home screen and within the McCabes PLUS section of the app.
