When will my prescription be ready?
We will aim to have your prescription ready within 3 working hours of receipt.

What is a working hour?
A working hour is based on the actual opening hours of each store. If an order is placed when a store is closed, it will be ready for collection 3 hours after it opens the following morning.

How will I know my prescription is ready for collection?
We will text you to confirm when your prescription is ready for collection.

Where do I collect my prescription?
As soon as you receive a message to notify you that your medication is ready for collection, you can collect from the dispensary counter of your chosen McCabes Pharmacy.

When and why do I need to bring in the original prescription?
Please bring the original prescription into your chosen McCabes Pharmacy when you have been notified that your prescription is ready for collection. This is a regulatory requirement; the pharmacist must review the original prescription and stamp it in order to dispense your medication.

Can I order a prescription for someone else?
Yes you can order and collect a prescription for another person once you are over 16 years of age.

How can I pay for my prescription?
You can pay for your prescription when you are collecting from the store you have chosen.

What if I have a repeat prescription?
Your prescription can be retained by the store that you have chosen, so you can simply reorder your repeat medication without the need for mailing or electronic transfer of your prescription.
