A soother, pacifier or dummy is a useful aid for relaxing your baby. The improved NUK Genius Soother was developed in partnership with dental health experts and is based on the approved orthodontic NUK shape with an even softer, more flexible baglet which reduces the pressure on baby's jaw and teeth, reducing the risk of teeth misalignment. Medical findings combined with clever technical details make the new NUK Genius especially kind to the teeth and jaw. Its particularly soft surface moulds itself gently against your child’s palate, whilst the underside of the teat has a smooth transition and a domed shape, giving the tongue plenty of space for natural sucking movements. The even narrower and particularly thin teat neck helps reduce pressure on little teeth. With a new vent air can always escape meaning it remains flat in the mouth. Genius soothers are made from soft-flex silicone, which is extremely flexible yet bite resistant. The NUK Air System helps to ensure that the mouthpiece remains soft and flexible. And all that together makes a NUK Genius Soother even kinder to teeth!
The handy resuable storage case can be used to keep the soothers safe and clean but also hygienically clean the soothers with steam in the microwave.

To sterilise soothers we recommend using steam, cold water sterilisation or a NUK Steriliser (dishwasher sterilisation is not recommended as this can cause material damage).
The soother box can be cleaned hygienically in the microwave oven within 4 minutes. following these instructions: First, fill each side of the box with 20ml water and put in the pacifier. Close the box and heat on 700-1000W for 4 minutes. The steam in this process prepares the pacifier hygienically. Leave the microwave closed for another 5 minutes. Empty out any water remaining. Leave soothers to dry in the open box. To make the instructions more visible, there is a small instruction on the package. The whole and detailed description can be found in the inlay sheet.
