What is EasyMed?
McCabes Pharmacy Easy Med system is a personalised service that repackages your medication into a special weekly tablet organiser pack that is personal to you.
It gives you control and gives you an easy way to organise your medications.
Studies have shown that patients do a better job of taking their medicines when it is packaged in an easy to follow system such as McCabes Pharmacy Easy Med packs.
How does Easy med work?
1. Daily medications are prepared in special weekly tablet organisers which are designed for ease of use.
2. Each of your tablets are held in separate compartments in the tablet organiser, depending on the time of day that you take it.
The pharmacy team will work this all out for you in line with the GP instructions from your prescriptions which we keep on file, saving you any confusion and organisation time.
3. Each time of the day is clearly marked on the tablet organiser pack- breakfast, lunch, dinner and bed to ensure the right medication is taken at the right time.
4. Each compartment on the tablet organiser is covered by a clear strip that shows the medication beneath. Access to the medication is easy by simply popping the strip. The service also provides a Pill Wizard for those that require it. This is a small cup that fits snugly onto each compartment allowing your medication to be safely tipped into the Pill Wizard ready for taking.
